The Power of Release

The Power of Release

As much as I love writing and teaching and pretty much “living in my head”, at times my thoughts get twisted. I pray and listen, and preferable act. The month of December in 2016 was just plain odd; even the word “unusual” doesn’t cover it, so let’s settle on “weird”. I’ve always liked that word. It carries quite a punch!
Here is my open heart …. No matter how I prayed I was not getting a release from Abba Father. No matter how I cried out to Jesus and the Holy Spirit, I was not getting answers. I was prepared for insight, revelation, discernment and WARFARE; a “bring it on” attitude for 2017.
Then, in a very personal time with Jesus He said to me:
“In your arrogance …”
Unwarranted pride.
Two words that broke my spirit and shamed me; two words that have redirected my life. Two words that HURT.
Why am I sharing something so personal? One reason only—Jesus told me to. Light onto darkness is powerful. Sin revealed that was once covered is forgiven. When the inner man is laid bare and the spirit-man found to be without deceit, blessings follow.
I, like every one of you, crave the blessings of our Lord.
Once I acknowledged what The Holy Spirit showed me, I was stunned. Then I repented. Now, in a totally unexpected way, Abba Father has revealed many things about the year 2017.
Psalm 32.
If you start this New Year with a DEEP spiritual housecleaning, giving the Holy Spirit permission to reveal the depths of your spirit where Father God is not pleased with you, then I believe Jesus will bless your socks off!
This coming year is going to be difficult to say the least. So KNOW that there is not an iota of unrepentant sin in your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to split you wide open and shine a light so brilliant within your inner man that NOTHING can remain hidden.
Then it is up to you to acknowledge the sin—confess it to the Lord—and get on with LIFE, knowing you are forgiven and cleansed. The Blood of The Lamb covers you, and our Lord no longer remembers your sin. (That is soooo amazing to me. Grateful! Grateful!)
Look at verses 7 and 8 in Psalm 32.
This year, Jesus MUST be your hiding place.
What if you had been one of the people at a small airport in Florida this past week doing nothing more strenuous then retrieving your baggage?
Did anyone command the power in the name of Jesus loudly and verbally when evil strolled down the corridor aiming for the innocents?
I don’t know. But if ever I wanted to realize that He is my hiding place, it would be in situations where evil believes it is invincible.
Also, recognize that Jesus WILL preserve you from trouble—something that is disturbing you. Trouble will manifest in worry, pain, discomfort, affliction and even annoyance. (Check that one off my list! I’ve HAD IT with trouble!)
One way Jesus will preserve you is with a new song. Songs of deliverance are joyful, carefree—the music of a winner who knows he/she has won! For this to happen, listen to the songs that are in your heart. Be sensitive to what you allow your ears to hear. Close your ears to those who grumble, grouch and complain. Sing YOUR new song—hum it if you can’t carry a note—that the Spirit will place in your heart. There is music coming forth in 2017 that will bring you life and revelation.
In verse eight, comprehend the POWER Jesus is offering you. The Great I Am who created ALL says that He will instruct (educate) you and teach you in the way YOU should go.
Jesus will shine a light on your personal path for 2017. Ask Him where and what that path is. It will be straight and it will be well lit. Again, Grateful!
Then, here is The Word that made my knees tremble and my spine relax:
“I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”
When one receives sound counsel the Advocate who guides you will direct your path so that you will not fail!
Why is it that so many of us overlook this? Our God is a loving God, a kind God, a God who desires us!
At times, I still hear the Holy Spirit weeping over those who have ignored Him; those who have taken Him for granted or just plain desire to overlook His presence.
Be prepared if that is what you have chosen, because the Holy Spirit is on a mission to draw the children of Jesus closer to their Savior.
This coming year will be difficult. It will be a year of choices and options.
Have you made yours? Are you sincerely ready for what lies ahead?
If so, then be glad in the Lord and rejoice. Shout for joy and go forth in power, authority and peace.
The angels of the Lord have you lifted securely on high, and our Savior is your rear guard—in all ways and at all times.
Holy and mighty is His name!
Jesus; our Savior who will preserve and instruct His children in the year 2017.
